Many secondary roads across Rutherford County remain covered in packed ice following Friday's winter storm, and black ice will form on others as wet road surfaces refreeze overnight tonight. Overnight temperatures are not forecast to climb above freezing until around 10:00 AM tomorrow morning.
Given those travel conditions, Rutherford County Schools will observe a remote learning day for students and an optional teacher workday for school employees on Monday, January 13, 2025. Remote work is authorized for eligible employees in accordance with local policies 7503 and 7550.
