Many colleges and universities in North Carolina waive their application fees during this week for all high school seniors. The Davidson College Advising Corps, the McNair Educational Foundation, and Rutherford County Schools collaborated to put together a week of access and opportunity for seniors so that they could have all of the tools that they needed to apply. Each school had a space set up specifically for seniors to be able to sit down and talk with someone about the process and completion of their applications. The advisors helped students with tasks including applications, FAFSA, and scholarships. During the week, more than 400 seniors participated and over 600 applications were submitted.
